๐ŸŽผ How to Set Tempo or Key

Learn how to select a tempo or a key for your songs.

Updated this week

๐Ÿ“– Overview

You can tell Songer what key or tempo you want your track to be in. The trick is to include the key or tempo clearly in both the "Type up to 5 genre or vibes" field and the instructional marker or tags, and place it up front so the model prioritizes it. This isn't 100% guaranteed, and you might need to do it a few times.

๐Ÿ”ข Steps to Set Tempo or Key

To set a tempo or a key for your song:

  1. Include the key or tempo in the Lyrics Field as an [instructional marker]. You can write the key and tempo at the start of your lyrics. Thatโ€™s the most consistent way to make Songer respect your choice.

    1. Example 1: [Intro][Tempo: 68 BPM][Key: F major]

    2. Example 2: [Intro][Acoustic Guitar Picking][Soft Strings Pad][Tempo: 78 BPM][4/4 Time]

  2. Reinforce the key or tempo in the "Type up to 5 genres or vibes" field

    1. Example 1: Slow jazz ballad in F major, trumpet lead, lush strings, mellow orchestral tone

    2. Example 2: Soulful acoustic ballad, warm guitar, soft female vocal, intimate, heartfelt
