Is It Possible to Edit Generated Songs?

Learn whether it's possible to edit generated songs.

Updated over a month ago

Once a song is generated, it can't be edited directly. That said, there are two ways to refine it.

Option 1: Using "Reuse Request"

Each regeneration is a new generation, so the melody and structure will differ, but your settings keep it in the same territory.

To use the "Reuse Request" feature:

  • Log in to your Songer account

  • Go to the "Songs" tab

  • Find your track

  • Click "Details" next to it

  • Click "Reuse Request"

  • Adjust the prompt, genre, or language if needed, then click "Create Song"

With the upgraded plan, you can also tweak lyrics before clicking "Create Song."

Note: The "Reuse Request" button is not available if your song is generated via the "Song wizard" mode.

Option 2. Using "Extend"

"Extend" lets you change a specific part of a song while keeping it in the style of the original.

With the "Extend" feature, you can:

  • Leave settings like genres and lyrics as they are to get a new variation from any timestamp

  • Add or remove genres, or add Extension Lyrics (upgraded plan only)

Tip: Genre changes only affect the selected extension unless you set your timestamp at the beginning.

Just a heads-up: A proper editing feature is in the works, so stay tuned!
