⏩ Extending Songs

Learn how to make your songs longer.

Updated this week

📖 Overview

  • There’s no limit to how many times you can extend a song.

  • You can extend the extended songs.

  • This feature does not use any credits.

  • General extension is available for all users, regardless of their plan (free or upgraded). However, features like lyrics or genre change within the "Extend" feature are available only for upgraded plan users.

  • The goal is to give every song a smooth, complete-sounding ending.

  • The extended song will have a tag "Extension", so you will always be able to find it. You can use hotkeys "Ctrl + F" and the "Extension" keyword to find the trimmed songs on your "Songs" page faster.

  • You’ll be presented with two alternative extensions.

🔢 Standard Extension Steps

If you simply need to extend your song without making any changes in the selected genres and the song lyrics, use this option.

To extend your songs:

  1. Log in to your Songer account.

  2. Go to the "Songs" tab.

  3. Find the song with the cut-off and click on the "Extend" button.

  4. For the "Extend from," set the timestamp or move the slider to the timing from where you want your song to be extended.

  5. Click the "Extend" button.

🎺 Song Extension and Genre Change (Upgraded Plan Only)

If you also need to add or remove some genres for your extension piece, you can do so under the "Genres" section.

💡 Note. Genre change will only happen in the extension piece you selected and not the whole song, unless you've set "Extended from" to the beginning of your song.

Adding Genres

To add a genre to your extension:

  1. Click on genres.

  2. Select a genre from the list or type it and select.

Removing Genres

To remove a genre from your extension:

  1. Click on genres.

  2. Deselect a genre from the list or type it and deselect.

  3. Click "Extend."
