The Extend feature lets you add to any song without spending credits. This feature is particularly useful for preserving the melody and continuity of a song, ensuring the original track's musical feel is maintained. A few things to know before you start:
Your original song stays safely stored under "Songs", and the extended version is created as a new song.
You can extend a song as many times as you want, including songs that have already been extended
This feature doesn't use any credits
Extend is only available for unlocked songs
Standard extension is available to all users on any plan. Genre changes and lyrics additions within the Extend feature are available on upgraded plans only
Every extension will be tagged "Extension" in your Songs page so you can always find it. Use Ctrl + F and search "Extension" to locate them quickly
Each extension gives you two alternative versions to choose from
The goal is to give every song a smooth, complete-sounding ending
Standard Extension
Use this if you just need to make the song longer without changing genres or lyrics.
Genre Change During Extension (Upgraded Plan Only)
If you want to add or remove genres for the extension piece, do so under the "Genres" section.
Note: Genre changes only apply to the extension piece, not the whole song, unless you set "Extend from" to the very beginning of the track.

What to Do if Extension Fails
We're aware of a temporary issue where extending from the Songs list can fail. Here's a quick workaround to get you unblocked:
Go to the Songs page and find your song
Click or tap "Copy link"
Paste the link into your browser and open it
From that song's page, click "Extend" and try again
If an extension fails multiple times, the best solution is to recreate the song. The original song was successfully generated, so the credits used can't be refunded. Here's how, depending on which mode you used:
If you used Generate mode: Copy the AI-generated lyrics into Custom Lyrics mode, make any edits or rearrangements, then reselect your genres and create a new version.
If you used Custom Lyrics mode: Place your lyrics into Generate mode, refine them as needed, then reselect your genres and regenerate the track.
