Mastering Songer Tags: Build Your Perfect Track

Learn how to use Songer's tags for structure, vocals, and effects to create clean, powerful, and personalized songs with precision.

Updated over a month ago

Overview

Songer's AI responds to special tags in your prompts. Use them to define song structure, control vocals, and add instrumental moments or effects. The more precise your tags, the more control you have over the final result.

Note: There is currently no built-in feature for more advanced sound control. This approach is a workaround, not a guaranteed solution, and results can vary; it may not work in every situation.

General Rules

  • Keep section tags in English, even if your lyrics are in another language

  • Always put sections, vocals, and instruments in brackets so the AI knows how to arrange your song

Section Tags

Use these to define your song’s flow:

  • [Intro]: opening lines

  • [Verse]: lyrical progression

  • [Chorus]: main hook

  • [Bridge]: contrast section

Vocal Tags

Control who’s singing and how:

  • [Duet]: male and female vocals together

  • [Backing Vocals], [Harmonies]: add vocal depth

  • [Spoken] / [Rap]: for spoken word or rhythmic delivery

Instrument and FX Tags

Add instrumental sections and atmospheric effects:

  • [Instrumental Break], [Guitar Solo], [Piano Solo], [Drum Fill]

  • [Strings], [Pads], [Fade Out]

  • [Reverb FX], [Echo FX], [Rain FX] for texture and atmosphere

Pro Tips

  • Repeat lines in the [Chorus] to make your hook stick

  • Keep prompts short and clear for the best results

With a few well-placed tags, you can shape the structure, tone, and texture of a track to match exactly what you had in mind. Keep experimenting until it sounds right.
